Most printers have higher definition output than a Kindle screen, and even than most computer screens, and hence more detailed fonts are used in print, which look nicer and are nicer to read. Note that while Bookerly does look good, it is chunkier and bolder and has less fine details than the usual fonts you’ll see in actual published books, because it’s made for reading on screens, including the low-resolution ones of the cheapest Kindles.
